It is also possible to work under protective gas atmosphere in standard air conditioning furnaces. In this case separate annealing retorts are required. The retorts can be put into or removed from the furnace during operation.
Advantages towards the SEMI gas-heated air conditioning furnaces: ■ shorter cycle times as the retort already cools down outside the furnace while a second retort can already be heated-up in the furnace. ■ little gas consumption
