Debindering and sintering in one furnace.
Lots of components must not cool down between the debindering and sintering process. A rapid transition after debindering into the sintering process is required for those components, so that it is out of the question to change the furnace. Often the components are very rough after debindering. A transport to a second furnace would increase the risk of deterioration of the components. In order to avoid this problem, sintering furnaces had been developed where you can also perform debindering processes. Those combined furnaces are equipped with a scavenging air pre-heating. Warm air is scavenged into the furnace in a controlled way during debindering. Therewith a very good temperature distribution in the furnace is being achieved. Over automatically controlled exhaust air flaps, the exhaust air is being extracted from the furnace. After completing the debindering process at about 550°C the scavenged air inlet switches off and the sintering process is being introduced seamlessly. This way it is avoided that the material is cooling down.
